How Hypnosis Helps You Keep the Weight Off

Top 10 Ways Hypnosis Can Help You Lose Weight – Once and for all!

  1. You already have the answer. Deep inside you already know how to lose weight. It’s just a matter of building your confidence. And with a few diet-altering hypnotic suggestions and a little practice you’ll be able to achieve your weight loss goal effortlessly.
  2. If you believe it, you will see it. In general, people accomplish what they believe they can accomplish. Even with regard to hypnosis, it’s important to have a clear expectation that you will be helped.

Weight Loss by Memorial Day with Hypnosis

It’s true! By Memorial Day you really could be well on your way to an appreciable amount of weight loss!

In Holiday Weight Loss with Hypnosis there were many studies listed that validated the successful use of hypnosis in achieving weight loss. And our following post gave a much more in-depth look at what hypnosis can do for your weight loss goals. For example, just imagine being thirty times more effective in losing weight and having continued success even after two years!

It’s incredible, isn’t it? And not only will hypnosis help you attain your weight loss goals but it can actually become an effortless process too.

Here’s something else you might want to take into consideration. In January of 2005 Tufts-New England Medical Center published an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association documenting a study in which it was found that the type of diet you follow isn’t as important as actually following the diet.

During this one-year study160 people were split into four groups. Each group followed one of four diet plans:

  1. Weight Watchers (low calorie)
  2. The Zone Diet (low glycemic index)
  3. The Ornish Diet (low fat)
  4. The Atkins Diet (low carb)

In the final outcome, it was found that while each one of these diets actually worked (when the participants stayed on them), less than 25 % of the individuals stayed on their diet plan for the full year!

So, what does hypnosis have to do with weight loss? Very simply put, hypnosis is a relaxed state of focused attention. It can help to change both psychological and physiological patterns that willpower alone just can’t alter. Hypnosis and Healthy Holiday Eating Strategies

If you’ve been keeping up with our Holiday Weight Loss posts you’ve read about the studies and seen the numbers that support the usage of hypnosis regarding weight loss. Certainly hypnosis is a great tool resulting in extremely good results!

With major Holiday meals just ahead, how about a few strategies to add to your healthy eating game plan? Here are the Top Seven:

No Meal Skipping

Eating sensibly and lightly on the day of a Holiday party will take the edge off your appetite and keep it off.

Wear Streamlined Clothing

If your clothes fit you well (or are even a bit snug) you’ll be more apt to pay attention to your food intake out of sheer concern for comfort.

Location, Location, Location

Make sure you position yourself well out of reach (and maybe even eyesight) of the munchies. Don’t succumb to mindless munching.

Choose Wisely

Yes, those appetizers look and smell delicious, but try to make healthy choices: fruit, veggies (sans dip), a small portion of nuts (nuts are a source of satisfying protein).

Be a Snob 

A food snob, that is. Scan the buffet or Holiday table and take note of the foods you truly love. You’re not obligated to try everything just because it’s there. Focus on the goodies that aren’t available every day and that will make you feel special. 

Trim the Trimmings 

Be sure to pay attention to those extras that really don’t add that much flavor, but add additional calories: nuts, cheese, cream sauces, gravy, butter, and whipped cream.  

Be Mindful

Really concentrate on your food even before you put it in your mouth. Focus on the colors and aromas, then the taste and texture. Truly savor your Holiday favorites!

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight than 90% of others and Kept it off

Eighteen studies were analyzed by researchers in which cognitive behavioral therapies such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self-monitoring, and goal setting were used. Each of these therapies were then supplemented with hypnosis. Those subjects receiving hypnosis lost more weight than ninety per cent of those not receiving hypnosis. These same subjects maintained their weight loss two years after the treatment had ended.

Weight Loss Studies with Hypnosis: Let’s take a Closer Look

If you read this month’s first post “Holiday Weight Loss with Hypnosis” you read that there have been several studies conducted that support the use of hypnosis as a viable tool when planning a weight loss program.Today let’s take a closer look at a few of these studies:

Hypnosis Over 30 Times as Effective for Weight Loss

Effectiveness of hypnosis as an adjunct to behavioral weight management

Bolocofsky DN, Spinler D, Coulthard-Morris L

Abstract

This study examined the effect of adding hypnosis to a behavioral weight-management program on short- and long-term weight change. 109 subjects, who ranged in age from 17 to 67, completed a behavioral treatment either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction.

However, at the 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis clients showed significant additional weight loss, while those in the behavioral treatment exhibited little further change. More of the subjects who used hypnosis also achieved and maintained their personal weight goals. The utility of employing hypnosis as an adjunct to a behavioral weight-management program is discussed.

Two Years Later: Hypnosis Subjects Continues to Lose Significant Weight

A behavioral treatment for weight management was completed by 109 people either with or without the addition of hypnosis. Significant weight loss was accomplished by both interventions. However, at the 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioral-treatment-only group showed only minimal additional weight reduction.

IFUSED WILLPOWER…..That’s how I describe what Dan does with his unique 33 method of hypnosis. I truly believe that everyone KNOWS how to lose weight, but DOING it and sticking with it is the problem. I began at the end of March 2014 after a friend experienced tremendous results with weight loss after joining. My husband began a month later after seeing the dramatic change in my eating habits. We have both lost 50 pounds to date and I can’t say it was extremely difficult. Yes, you have to want it and you have to do your part in watching what you’re eating, but the hypnosis gave me the willpower to make those good decisions without even having to think about it. I began just gravitating toward healthy foods and drinking lots of water. I now track nutrition through a free app (MyFitnessPal) just to be more aware of exactly what I’m eating because I want to, not because I have to. The weight loss is great because I do look better, but the real benefit is I feel so much better! I was in a size 18 pant when I started and just bought a new suit yesterday, size 10!
