Every year, New Year’s Resolutions are made and every year, New Year’s Resolutions are broken.  Sometimes they’re broken within the first few days but most people can manage to go a couple weeks before they find themselves right back into their old behaviors and patterns.  By March 1st over 85% of New Year’s Resolutions are broken.  Why? The answer is actually very simple, we are creatures of habit.  We get comfortable with the way we live our lives and every time we try to do things differently, even when we have the best intentions, we always have a tendency to revert back to what is easy natural, comfortable and automatic.

Year after year, the number 1 New Year’s Resolution is to lose weight!  Weight Loss is a multi-billion dollar industry and every January, the market will be inundated with weight loss products and services including pills and wraps and lasers that promise to shed inches and melt away fat.  Even though the idea of not having to change your lifestyle and still being able to lose weight seems very appealing, it is not a reality, it is in fact, very good marketing.  So, you may be asking yourself, if the pills and the wraps and the laser lipo treatments don’t really work, what does?  The truth is that the only real way to lose the weight and to keep it off is through healthy lifestyle changes.  You need to start eating more healthy foods and less unhealthy foods and increase your levels of daily activity.  It’s as simple as that, but it’s not simple, because no matter how hard we try, we always end up losing our will power and motivation and giving up!  It can be so frustrating and lead to a lifetime of yo-yo dieting and ups and downs with our weight!

Dan Vitchoff, MS Ed., CHt. is  Board Certified and Licensed Hypnotherapist, Mental Training and Performance Coach and Owner of PA Hypnosis Center in Pittsburgh, PA.  Dan Vitchoff specializes in helping his clients making positive and permanent lifestyle changes.  Vitchoff uses the nationally acclaimed, patented and trademarked behavior change and sports improvement technique, “The 33 Method” to help his client lose weight and keep it off.  Vitchoff explains, “through this process that we use, “The 33 Method,” we are able to manipulate the part of the brain that is responsible for habits and behaviors so that we can replace the negative or unwanted behaviors and patterns with newer, healthier behaviors and patterns.  For example, someone comes in and they want to lose 50 pounds, they skip breakfast, eat a donut when they get to work, eat a salad for lunch, a healthy dinner and then snack on cookies cakes, brownies, ice cream and potato chips at night, we can actually help that person create a new default setting that will enable them to eat smaller healthier meals throughout the course of the day, walk away from unhealthy foods and increase their levels of daily activities which we know, will lead to long term, sustainable weight loss.  The best part about it is that it doesn’t feel like a struggle, they’re not going to be hungry or tired or grumpy, they’re simply going to be able to do these things without even thinking about it.  We’re able to take the newer healthier lifestyle and put it on “auto-pilot” so that when the weight comes off it’s going to stay off.”

Dan Vitchoff’s 33 Method Hypnosis Programs have also been proven to be extremely effective at helping with other positive lifestyle changes and behaviors such as: smoking cessation, reducing stress and anxiety, overcoming fears, phobias and negative habits such as fingernail biting, sports performance, public speaking, building confidence and so much more!  For more information please call our office to schedule a free consultation and evaluation at 724-934-8446 or visit one of our informational websites at www.pahypnosiscenter.com,  www.pittsburghhypnosis.com, www.danvitchoff.com or www.33method.com.
